I recollect one example from Sri Velukudi Krishnan's Upanyasam on Vishnu Puraanam.
Puraanam is a samaasa padam (compound word) of "Pura Api Navam" which means "Very old yet contemporary". Puranams are like practicals to theoretical Vedanthas. Though they speak about stories of Ancient Kings and Sages, their themes are applicable for the present day scenarios too.
This nature of the Puranams is anological to Kalazhagar. Every year it is the same Kalazhagar who is going to the river to have the sacred bath but look at the crowd each time!
